Mental Health Service Consultation

Friday 26th February 2021 10am

Calling all parents/carers!

“PeopleToo” are currently reviewing mental health services for young people in Coventry, particularly the Crisis service. Would you be able to share your experiences or ideas to improve services in the future?

SENDIASS are working with PeopleToo and us, One Voice Parent’s Group, to enable parents/carers of children and young people to share their experiences and offer their views and ideas to improve mental health support. If you would like to be involved, simply email iass@coventry.gov.uk for a link to the meeting.

Preparing for Adulthood

Coventry SEND Local Offer, in conjunction with us – One Voice Parent Carer Forum, and SEND Information Advice and Support Service, are hoping to offer an online event (postponed, date to be advised) to provide information to young people and their families about the current offer around supporting young people with special educational needs in Coventry. It will focus on those young people between the ages of 14-25 and preparing them for adulthood.

Following previous events on this topic, we would like to make the event as relevant to you as possible – therefore, we would welcome your input into the sorts of information you would like to find out about. Each area of focus would then have a specific timeslot on the day, meaning that you only have to attend the topics that are relevant to you or your young person.

The poll closes on Monday 11th January so if you have a strong view of what might be included in the event, just complete the short survey at https://letstalk.coventry.gov.uk/coventry-send-local-offer/survey_tools/preparing-for-adulthood-event-planning
